Florentine
From AmtWiki
Literally; fighting with two swords, comes from the fencing schools of Florence, Italy where it was popular to fight with either a sword and dagger or two swords. This was also a popular fighting stlye in 14th to 16th century France; where they use a sword in the primary hand and a main ganche(sp?) in the off hand. Miyamoto Musashi, author of Go Rin No Sho also adovated a slightly unpopular two sword style useing both the shorter wakizashi and the standard Katana.

[edit] In tourneys
Florentine is a mainstay event in most Tournaments. In many Kingdoms the length of the swords themselves are restricted, usually to standard short length, or 36”.
